Supporting National Stroke Week 2023

8 Aug 2023

Hi there!

We wanted to share some important news that’s close to our hearts here at OnePassport.

Starting from the 7th of August until the 13th, it’s National Stroke Week 2023. This is a time when we all come together to raise awareness about strokes and their impact on individuals and families.

Why is this so important to us? Let’s put it simply – last year, our very own CEO, Michael Maher, had a stroke in July 2022. It was a wake-up call that hit close to home. As a company that works closely with hospitals and allied health, the topic of stroke is not just another statistic for us. It’s personal. With Michael now a stroke survivor at the helm, our commitment to raising awareness and supporting the cause has grown stronger than ever.

Fighting stroke together

National Stroke Week emphasises the power of unity in the fight against stroke. The goal is to share knowledge, provide support, and offer resources that can help prevent strokes and aid in the recovery journey for those who’ve had a stroke.

Know the signs: F.A.S.T.

One way you can make a difference is by spreading the word about the F.A.S.T. signs of stroke: Face, Arms, Speech, Time. If you notice any of these signs in yourself or someone else, no matter how brief they may be, it’s crucial to act fast. Dial triple zero (000) or one one two (112) internationally immediately.

Supporting our cause

At OnePassport, we’re not only raising awareness during National Stroke Week, but we’re also supporting our CEO’s efforts to raise essential funds. Visit his website, TheDisabledCEO.com, and you can contribute as little as the cost of a cup of coffee through the Buy Me A Coffee link.

Join us in making a difference

Let’s work together to raise awareness and much-needed funds for equipment and rehabilitation support. By coming together as a community, we can help ensure that stroke survivors and their loved ones can continue to enjoy life to the fullest.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for your ongoing support. Together, we can make a meaningful impact.

Best regards,

The OnePassport team
